Nervous Habit?

It's Wordless Wednesday again.

This time featuring my daughter's newest habit since the haircut: hair twirling.

Hair knot done without aid of elastic or "styling products" of any kind (including her preferred choice of peanut butter or apple sauce - neither approved by Paul Mitchell - which incidentally work great if you don't mind possible bugs in hair - or at least I'm pretty sure if I used either "product" I'd wake up covered in ants but I digress - 'bout time eh?)

Other peeps doing Wordless Wednesday - check 'em out here.

They should make peanut butter shampoo.

That's all.

That is quite the work there! I've twirled my hair since I was at least her age, and I can't recall ever getting a knot quite that grand!

Niiice.

One night a couple weeks ago, we got a call from upstairs, "Oh no! Somebody come take this away!"

My daughter had twisted her hair into a knot and actually continued until her fine hair ripped.

Looks like Bumper has more robust locks. Lucky you.

I used to suck on my hair briefly in grade 3 or so until I was outed and shamed by a classmate. THat stopped it real fast, let me tell you.

My daughter has about two inches of hair in the back... and the rest is nice and long... it is AWFUL! I have to remove the gnarled bits with a comb and detangler every single morning.
I haven't figured out how to get her to stop yet. =( If you figure it out... please post the miracle cure.

Maybe she's trying to create a new fashion trend. Just wait, in a few weeks it'll be all the rage.

My eldest still twirls his hair (when it's long enough, like right now). He also twirls mine when we're snuggling. He has done it since he was a baby. I hope he quits before he begins dating...

If she keeps this up, she'll be a veritable Shirley Temple before long. Seriously, that is really cool!

I've posted my Wordless Wednesday contribution here:

Not quite as neat as yours, but it should bring a smile to your face all the same. I hope you'll drop by and say hi,

Have a great rest-of-WW. All the best!

Josh used to do this as a tot. He gave himself a bald spot eventually!

Oh, I did this to myself - one on each side of my face - when I was wee and my parents actually had to cut my hair, the knots were so bad. My sister called me Dagwood for weeks.

Good luck.

yikes!

Ever since you posted a picture of her new haircut, I've wanted to do the same to mine. I'm regressing. I don't think I want to be an adult anymore, thankyouverymuch.

Arrgghhh... My eldest does that EVERY DAY. I hate the knots. I say "Twirling!" about 20 times a day...
