yes, I'm talking about naps... AGAIN

As you may know, the nap fairy has been skipping our house as of late.

Which has sucked.

But I'm not sure what sucks more:

The fact that the nap fairy has come by at 4pm every day for the past few days to sprinkle nap dust in Bumper's eyes, and kick sand in my crotch

OR

The former situation where we were wrangling an unnapped, foul-mood toddler to sleep after dinner every night.

Because having Bumper bright-eyed and bubbly until late night is not as fun as it sounds.

unfortunately this is not an artist's interpretation
but a real genuine sleep fairy

Right now, I'm not a fan of the sleep fairy... despite my admiration for the comfortable shoe choice.

Wonder what I did to make karma come and slap me so hard?

Hmmm... In place of naps could you just have a late afternoon quiet time where you read together or watch movies cuddling on the sofa. Something that winds her down, but doesn't allow her to fall completely asleep?

I'm sure you've tried it, but hey, thought it was worth a mention.

Also, some vodka in the sippy cup works well, right? Kidding. Mostly. Ha!

Know what I do? I take the kid to "school," do some piddling at the workplace, look at my watch around naptime, wonder if he's napping and think "Heh, that *your* problem, bitches!"

You totally want to nominate me for Mother of the Year, don't you?

I remember this.

I used TV because I am a bad mummy.

Your day must be long. I think I'd opt for foul-mood-toddler-sleep-after-dinner option. It's hard to be "mommy" after 8pm.

If that's the nap fairy, do you really want him coming to your house?

That nap fairy will be giving me nightmares tonight!

We're having sleep issues too. It sucks.

But that sleep fairy? Yikes!

You have to leave out cold beer for the sleep fairy so that he comes to your house earlier!

You know, in our house The Sleep Fairy is Dave and well...that don't look like Dave to me.

LMAO.

Seriously...I feel for you, girl. Have you considered drugs? For YOU?

((hugs))

Ours has decided to forgo naps lately, too, and with the new room, she's taking forever to go to sleep and doesn't want to go back to sleep after an early morning pee... God, it sucks. It's nice that she's not using her pullups and all, but I am SO TIRED and so is she.

The nap fairy is kind of frightening. I'd fall asleep too if I saw him, just to make the sight go away.

I think if I had a nap fairy that looked like that, I would definetly be asleep before he came, or I'd have nightmares :)
