proof that I'm losing it...

What was I thinking? How did I let another piece of baby furniture in my abode? Is this proof that I'm really losing it? I think I've been duped folks. A mommy friend said I could take this exersaucer and I jumped at the chance because I was too cheap busy to buy one for Bumper. I think this particular exersaucer is like the fruit cake that gets mailed around every holiday season. You know there is only one and it keeps getting sent around the world to the next sucker who looks at it and immediately plans to regift it at the next available opportunity.

Here I am apparently crying over how one piece of furniture can be so large, bright and fugly.

And here is Bumper, at the wheel, ready to cause havoc with all the doodads and noise makers. She seems interested. I guess I can put up with it for a while. Now I must find a sucker to take this off my hands in a few weeks. Plotting...plotting...

I have that EXACT exersaucer! That I bought at a yard sale, falling for the EXACT same trick you did!

(And is that the Moses basket I see on the right-hand side, doing double duty as a stuffed-animal holder? Hmmm, good idea.)

Tee-hee...yes, our lovely neutral/pseudo neutral (isn't that what one calls the brick reds and olive greens and chocolate browns that I like?) palette has also been tainted by the garish primary and neon hues of Playskool, Baby Einstein and Evenflo. But as long as the kid is entertained, we deal.

Don't fight it, just give in...it's so much easier that way.

Oh do I ever hear you! I have the same one. I didn't pay for mine either. If they weren't so good at keeping babies in one place, it would be gone! Right now it awaits the new baby to get old enough. At least I have an attic!

Hey, if it keeps him busy for 10 minutes it's worth it.

Never have too many things to keep them occupied...
Enjoy your 5 minutes of time to yourself...

Now that's the most elaborate exersaucer I have ever seen!

The good thing is it is only a temporary piece of furniture that he'll get to big for and you can pass along the fruit cake to the next poor soul.

The other good news is you might get a 10 minute break in once in a while.

Damn!!! I thought maybe I could sell you mine lol...Samantha has caught on to the fact that it's a way for me to get a break when I put her in it and she will NOT use it!

that sucker is the Rolls Royce to exersaucers. we borrowed the much less fabulous Evenflo-from-a-few-years-back version. whatever. kept him busy for a few weeks. which was cool.

it'll be on its way out in no time, leaving you to lament the tschotschkies you are going to be removing from even the higher reaches in your home, so as to keep Bumper from climbing for them and subsequently falling/screaming.

whee.

That is one fugly baby toy. At least Bumper likes it ~ I guess that's all that matters! And it's temporary.

I think that if you were to modge-podge it or spray it with gold paint you could really make something of it... a truly unique objet d'art...

(Thanks again for a great time today!)

Heh heh. We HAD the same exersaucer up until yesterday when we gave it back to it's rightful owners (they're expecting - we're moving). That thing is huge, the baby could never reach that evil smiling head on the steering wheel which really pissed her off, the gearstick is totally in the wrong place & the air conditioning fan doesn't blow. What's up with that?! I think it does have a hemi in there somewhere though. (What's a hemi?)
