humuhumunukunukuapuaa

Definition please?

A small Hawaiian triggerfish or the sound motherbumper makes when she's had one beer too many.

What does this all mean?

Oh yes, it's time for some of my favourite hours in televised events:

THE SCRIPPS SPELLING BEE!

And yes, for the second year in a row, Cynical Dad and I will be blogging da' bee' LIVE. Tomorrow Night.

Bee there or bee square. Booyah.

This is my Super Bowl (which I just spelled as 'bowel,' but then changed it really quick because, well, sadly, it proves that spelling and I are not friends)(though 'bowel' would have been a hilarious mistake)

Would you believe I first learned of that fish at AFROTC field training?

Also, your theme song for this liveblogging event needs to be Meryn Cadell's song "Spelling Bee" - http://beemp3.com/download.php?file=3412158&song=Spelling+Bee

Is this American spelling or Canadian spelling? You guys get all funky with your favourite theatres and whatnot.

I think making bee puns is what separates us from the apes.

I will drink every time you Canadians throw in an extra "U" where we US'ers are just too lazy to use any extra characters.

And that makes me look at the word ver's in a whole new light...
