it depends on your definition of saving

Losing an hour this weekend totally screwed me up. I was already behind because of the plague that poxed me (and thankfully just me - not Bumper or SB lucky b**tards) last week. But losing another hour just threw me for a loop.

Everything always seems strange for the first day of daylight saving and I can never keep straight which way the clock changed. I constantly have to repeat [in my head hopefully] "Spring forward, Fall back" to remember. Yes, motherbumper is a has shades of moron in her brain.

Oh and those rat-b*stard smart clocks built into everything really confused matters. Half the clocks we have around our home download the time from somewhere out there *waves hand vaguely towards the window*, while all our simpleton appliances depend on my simian-at-best guesstimation of time. This creates a five-minute lag in time across our tiny two-bedroom apartment. Absolutely astounding.

Cripes, how can the tv be smarter than me? Real nice boost to my ego LG.

Somehow Bumper fell asleep at the dinner table tonight which made no sense so I'm blaming daylight savings. If she wakes up at the butt crack of dawn tomorrow, I'm blaming daylight savings. If it snows more tomorrow, I'm blaming daylight savings. Stub my toe? That's right - it was that intangible b*stard daylight saving.

Anyhow, now that my own personal plague has been downgraded to an inconvenient cough I'm able to keep my head upright for longer period of times. Which means if I had an hour, I could possibly make a dent in the 4000 bloglines that scream at me each time I dare look OR just maybe I could write an interesting post finally without the aid of my friend NyQuil.

Yes that's what I'd do if I had say, one hour of time to do such fun things.

No problem. I'll just freeze time - why not? I already caused a five minute wrinkle in time in my home... I'll just find a way to pause it.

Damn you, daylight savings.

The time change screws up me up too for a few days. But I do better in the spring than I do in the fall. That extra hour of light in the morning in the fall makes me feel like a vampire when I wake up.

Daylight savings is stupid.

I totally have to repeat "spring forward, fall back". Three weeks from now. I'm sure I'll have figured out the right time.

They say the time change can cause sleep deprivation. GREAT. Like I need help with that.

You may complain about Daylight Savings all.you.want. However, as an apartment dweller (and therefore someone exempt from snow removal) it is illegal (trust me, I looked it up on the interweb... it's "out there" outside your window with the clock updating devices) for you to complain about snow. Leave that to us with back spasms and chest pains, thankyouverymuch.

Iknow what you mean. Why do we have to change, can't we just stay the same and be happy with that?
It took me forever to change the clock in my car!

Last year I got a parking ticket on the Monday after DST. Salt in the wound, I tell you!

I was looking for some sort or way to opt out of DLS for a few weeks. It doesn't work well with this head cold that I obviously caught from you when you breathed all over my blog.

It IS an awfully convenient scapegoat. I like to blame Daylight savings for my problems too.

I've had emotional outbursts the last 3 evenings in a row. Daylight savings or pregnancy hormones? You decide!

Yeah, this is lame daylight savings change too. Sure, it's lighter in the evening, but the hour! The hour!

I, too, get confused about which clocks i need to change, which I've already changed and which just seem to do it themselves.

This morning my 15 month-old was crying and I said to my husband, it's too early. Just let her cry. It's only 6:10 am. Thankfully for her, my husband knew it was really 7:10 am.

We got an unexpected bonus in Pumpkinpie sleeping in on Sunday, and then with the time switch, sleeping until her normal time today, but I had gone to bed at the daylgiht savings bedtime, so the net effect was like she slept in again and I got an extra hour of sleep! Rawk! especially since sleeping in is not too common.

I have a horrible headache. Thanks daylight savings!

It couldn't possibly be the lack of nutrients that I've consumed today.
