Monday's Favorite Toy Feature II

Introducing IKEA's idea of a cute toy for kids: Minnen the Rat.

Minnen follows Bumper where ever she goes. I like the idea of her having a stuffed rat because I thought that would help develop Bumper's sense of individuality. Most kids get a cute bear or doll but my baby gets a rat.

In other news: Bumper learned to crawl this weekend and now she's put that to the wayside and wants to walk. Never satisfied with what she's got, she has to strive for more. So much like her momma. How do I get her to slow down and smell those proverbial flowers?

Lame post I know but I'm dying of heat here people. In Toronto, summer comes by the flip of a switch. Today it's 33 (@90) and to think, just last week I was bundling Bumper up to go to the store.

Ankle weights? I mean, as a way to get her to stop and smell the flowers. Not too practical, though.

I'ts 90 here, too (Chicago). Blech.

Hey - My last post was about Ikea! Small blogworld, huh? My toddler really liked the ikea squid stuffed animal. My husband was like "She gets this weirdness from you." Hee.

hmmmmmm ankle weights - sounds like it might work. But knowing Bumper she would develop super human quads and would proceed to kick my butt. Back to the drawing board on that one...

I like the rat! Mine has doggies. Actually, she has a fleet of them, since one goes to daycare with her, two stay at home to sleep with and share with us, and two more stay in the drawer as backup/rotation. As in - the night she puked twice, I had spare doggies for her while I washed the others. Nice, hey?!

Pumpkinpie was never much of a crawler either. I think she crawled for a week or two. Now the fun really starts... She used to be able to make it all the way around the living room going from one thing to another before she learned to let go.

LOL I love the rat. Better than dragging a giant stuffed duck along with you everywhere like mine does!

Jeez. I shouldn't feel so bad since it's been 90 here forever. However, I'm too focused on the rat toy to think of anything else. Are you a cool mama? :)
