It's definitely Monday

We had a class trip this morning, to a farm outside the city so we could show these here city kids where their brie and water crackers come from.

The highlight: The ride on the big yellow school bus "just like the big kids"

The lowlight: The mother who didn't know she was supposed to pack her kid a lunch for the trip.

The lowerlight: I was that mom.

It's Monday, I just know it is. Can I go back to bed now?

Oops.

omg, all of my next-sentences have been so inappropriate, that I've had to delete. I don't know why I can't just offer empathy without sarcasm.

I swan we are living PARALLEL LIVES. It's a little eerie!

Cass and I went on his class trip to Ross Farm last week and yeah. I was the snackless Mom. Oh, yeah, I had my CAMERA, but no SNACKS.

I, um, SUCK at this parenting gig sometimes. Shove over. I need the covers over my head for awhile.

Can I presume that you just slaughtered and ate one of the lambs?

Meep!
The sandwiches there (and the cookies) are pretty yummy though!

Shaking my delicate, girly fists at TwoBusy for taking my thought! You could have roasted a lamb and called out "Barbecue's ready!" to all those adorable (and perhaps now terrified) preschoolers!

Also? Sweet, sweet heaven...that face...

:)

Did she have to slaughter a cow for lunch?

LOL Stimey!

My kid has a field trip tomorrow. She tells me she packed her lunch. I'm going to take her at her word. If she comes home with cow blood on her hands, I'll know she lied to me.

(word verification is "chill". as in "chill, katie. gigi will survive."
